Elkala Falls

This is the first of several descending falls down Shays Run along the Elkala Trail in Tucker County, West Virginia. On top of the upper falls you may view the first drop from the bridge which crosses over Elkala. From there downward it gets much more treacherous as Shays Run tumbles three more times over extremely rugged terrain into the Blackwater River Gorge.
