Into The Mist

Into The Mist

These majestic live oak trees in South Carolina use their massive branches to create a protective canopy overhead yet allow other limbs to bend low and sweep the foggy ground. The surrealistic scene draws us down the road to see what is at it’s end.

Isaiah 55:12
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Traveling down this South Carolina road was like venturing into a fairy tale with fern covered trees swathed in airy spanish moss. The imagination soars. View OPTIONS to see framing options and the location of the hidden state.

The end of a beautiful day shone before us as the sun spilled light across the water. It warmed the fishing boats for just a few moments as they rested in the harbor after a long day’s work. We watched it peek in and out from among the clouds before at last disappearing below the horizon.

South Carolina Photography

We were headed to the West Virginia mountains for a weekend of hiking and shooting when we were re-routed to South Carolina for one of our marketing clients. Our unscheduled trip took us for weeks along the coast and to South Carolina Lowcountry where we were introduced to the teaming life of the salt marsh. We loved visiting the rookery where trees were bowed beneath the weight of hundreds of noisy aquatic birds nesting for the night, and watched as alligators trolled the waters below hoping to catch one unaware. We ended up at Botany Bay, a spectacular beach characterized by eerie dead live oak trees stranded in the surf. Be sure to check back as we soon will be adding more to our South Carolina Photography gallery.
