Then Comes The Night

As sun sets the last vivid colors soften and fade, like a final gentle breath as the sun slips away. The day transitions to dark. A quiet settles on the Sods, and we marvel at the passing of another beautiful day. The Dolly Sods Wilderness is located in the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia and is part of the Monongahela National Forest. It is known for expanses of sphagnum bog, heath shrubs and stunted red spruce.
