Whispers of Cottongrass

Cottongrass may be found near wetlands of Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge, West Virginia. These acid bog habitats are vibrant with color from ferns, berries, and changing leaves beginning in the late summer and staying through the fall. Tufts of cottongrass seed heads speckle the area.
